The Cat Pumps 1530RSCM.C02 has been specially developed for moving CO2 in liquid form. In the development of this pump, all the challenges that come with moving liquid CO2 have been considered. For example, the inverted manifolds ensure that the air bubbles escape via the inlet and return to the tank. This prevents possible problems due to air bubbles in the discharge line.

In addition, the seals of this pump have been optimized for low temperatures and the low lubricity properties of liquid CO2. This results in improved performance and a longer life of the pump.

The drive ends also feature improved materials and an optimized design to meet the high inlet pressures required to maintain liquid CO2. In addition, vented seal retainers provide additional protection against potential CO2 escape past the pressure seals, preventing damage to the drive ends or pump manifolds.

Finally, ported inlet manifolds provide protection against damage caused by CO2 leakage, and the included check valve prevents ambient air from entering the pump manifold.
